Jung had a life-long psychological interest in the paranormal and documented many fascinating experiences of his own. Jung came to understand the rich field of strange occurrences as indelible parts of reality. They are “psychic facts” pointing the way to a deeper understanding of the Self. The paranormal can be eerie and unsettling; quite frequently it is thought-provoking, numinous and transcendental.
